Gifts for watch lovers

The best gift for a watch lover is one they can’t buy for themselves. A personal video from a watch creator they follow, a watch from the year they were born, or an honest take on their collection. Book it now, pick the day it’s revealed, and it stays a surprise until that morning.

Ideas they won’t see coming

A personal video from a creator they follow

A birthday or holiday message by name from the watch creator they already watch every week. It's the one gift on this page nobody else will think of.

A watch from the year they were born

Some creators will search the archives and send back watches made in the person's birth year, with links. You buy the one you like.

How birth year watches work

An honest review of their collection

Their collection, rated or roasted by someone whose taste they trust. Funny, flattering, or both, depending on the creator.

Picks for their next watch

A shortlist built around their wrist, budget, and taste. Good for a milestone birthday or a graduation, when the watch itself is the next step.

Other gifts watch people actually use

A good strap
Leather, rubber, or a NATO in the right width changes how a watch looks for very little money. Check their lug width first (it's often engraved between the lugs or listed online).
A watch roll or travel case
Useful for anyone who travels with more than one watch. Pick one with a firm divider so watches don't knock together.
A watch winder
Only for people who own automatic watches with complications they hate resetting. Most collectors don't need one.
A service at a good watchmaker
Older mechanical watches need servicing every several years. Paying for one is a practical gift a collector will notice.

Questions

What do you get a watch lover who has everything?
Something they can't buy in a shop: a personal video from a watch creator they follow, a review of their collection, or a search for a watch from their birth year. Experiences beat accessories for people who already own the watches they want.
What's a good gift for a watch collector under $50?
A quality strap in their watch's lug width, or a short personal video or watch question from a creator they follow. Many creator packages on curated.watch start around $10 to $30.
Can I schedule a creator video for their birthday?
Yes. When you book, choose “Someone else” and pick a reveal date. The video stays hidden until 8am that day, then we email you so you can share it.
Does the person need an account?
No. You book and receive the gift, then share it with them however you like. We don't email the recipient.
How far ahead should I book?
Creators have 24 hours to accept and usually deliver within 3 days, so book at least 4 days ahead. Some packages offer rush delivery for an extra fee.
What if the creator doesn't deliver?
Your card is only charged when a creator accepts. If they miss the delivery deadline, you're refunded automatically.
