What grey market watches are
grey market watch
A grey-market watch is a genuine watch sold outside the brand’s authorized dealer network — often at a lower price, usually with different or limited warranty terms compared with buying from an authorized dealer.
What grey market is not
Grey market does not mean fake. Counterfeit is a separate problem. Grey means parallel import or unauthorized retail: authentic product, non-authorized channel.
Trade-offs
You may pay less and skip waitlists. You may lose manufacturer warranty coverage, receive incomplete accessories, or buy from a seller with uneven quality control. “Grey” is a channel description — diligence still matters.
What this means for curated.watch
We explain channel trade-offs when relevant. We do not push a single store. For a deeper comparison with authorized dealers, see our buying guide on grey market vs AD.
