Quick-release spring bars
quick release spring bars
Quick-release spring bars have a small tab you pull by hand to remove a strap without tools. They're convenient if you change straps often, with a few fit caveats.
Convenience
Swap leather for rubber in seconds. Travelers and people who go from desk to dinner get the most out of them. Many aftermarket straps come with quick-release bars, while some brand straps still use standard ones.
Limitations
Not every lug shape leaves room for the tab. Cheap bars can loosen, so use good ones on heavier watches. Quick-release bars don't make an integrated bracelet watch strap-friendly.
